Players in this event are guaranteed at least $10,000 in payouts to participants. The climax of the week comes on Saturday, with the $500 buy-in Main Event, a no-limit Hold'em tourney with a guaranteed $50,000 in prize money.

The Kennel Club opened its second floor Poker Tournament Room on the 1st of July. Changes in state law now allow for larger tournaments with bigger buy-ins, as well as guaranteed prize money and no-limit Hold'em cash games. The first floor has forty tables playing regular games, while the upstairs has twenty tables for tournament play. Sports televisions are located throughout, and ticket windows to wager on the dogs are available in the poker rooms. (SOURCE)
